Creating the connections that matter at AWS

One of America’s biggest employers, Amazon strives to create a culture that powers world-changing ideas. They understand that meaningful innovation, and the collaboration behind it, begins with their people and the relationships they build. Their ability to lead with empathy and trust. To listen to each other and ensure all ideas are heard. Knowing the critical importance of relationships, Amazon continually explores new ways to strengthen emotional intelligence and team connection.

Scribl offered AWS a creative tool to foster trust, psychological safety, and cohesion on team meetings and at events. One that was fun, and easy to utilize across their global, dispersed workforce. They saw an opportunity to support their growing EQ@Amazon initiative, a community focused on building emotional intelligence at work, by providing Scribl to their EQ champions.

Rich Hua, Worldwide Head of EPIC Leadership and Founder of EQ@Amazon, introduced Scribl to these AWS leaders on February 19 and again on May 6, 2025. Since then, teams have continued to leverage the tool to deepen relationships, improve meetings, and enhance collaboration.

"Scribl created a sense of community. After meetings, when asked questions like, 'What are you going to do going forward?' people often struggled. But with Scribl, it made those conversations fun. It encouraged people to share and think more deeply."
